Rally Obedience is a captivating dog obedience sport that focuses on developing a partnership between you and your dog. The principles learned in Rally Obedience transcend the sport and positively impact daily life activities.

Rally O-Rally Obedience

Rally O or Rally Obedience is a dog obedience sport that teaches you and your dog to become partners. Rally O reinforces the working relationship between the handler and the dog that is carried over into daily life activities.

Rally Obedience involves working with your dog as a team through a course of obedience activities where your dog has fun learning to advanced obedience commands such as HEEL, FINISH LEFT, FINISH RIGHT, and many other fun activities, like teaching your dog to walk around you, come front, weave through cones, etc.

Paws N Play offers 6 week Beginner and Intermediate Rally Obedience classes.

Beginner Rally Obedience Class

Beginner Rally O is focused on establishing a strong relationship with your dog.

All exercises are done with dog on leash

We focus on many HEEL commands:

  • How to get your dog into a HEEL position (Left Finish and Right finish)

  • Heeling at different speeds (normal, slow, and fast)

  • Maintain the Heel position when changing directions (Heel Right, Heel Left, 90 degree, 180 degree, 270 degree and 360 degree turns)

In addition we work on several other novice level obedience commands such as:

  • Come Front

  • Step 1, 2, 3

  • Spiral (dog on inside and dog on outside)

  • Weave

  • And many more!

Intermediate Rally Obedience Class

Intermediate Rally O is focused on fine tuning what you learned in Beginner Rally O as well as introducing more precise obedience commands and working with dog off leash.

We focus on making HEEL more precise by including distinct pivot maneuvers and also teaching our dogs to HALT or SIT during many of the heeling activities to solidify the dogs self control

We also add fun activities including:

  • Send over jumps

  • Left About Turns

  • Serpentine Weaves

  • Backup 3 Steps with Stand Stay

  • Dog Walks around you

  • 90 degree and 180 degree pivots

  • Many more!
